Asus K56CB Review

The Asus K56CB  is a stylish multimedia laptop that is designed for ordinary office work and for entertainment. In this case, our device has a very reasonable price. Let’s look at it in more detail.

The Asus K56CB, like many Asus laptops in this price segment has a stylish body with aluminum plates that look pretty expensive. The pad is painted black and has a fine grind, which is not only pleasant to touch, but also protects the surface from greasy. The cover tightly fixed quite an adjacent loop and opens without a scratch.

Strap on the operation panel is also made of aluminum. Its silver color blends well with the black cover. This decision is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also has a practical side. For example, this panel has successfully protects the interior of the device from accidental bumps, and does not flex even during intensive work with the keyboard.

The screen of the device has a very mediocre performance. First, its resolution is only 1366 x 768 pixels at 15.6 inches diagonally. And secondly, it has not too wide viewing angles and low contrast. However, the display of Asus K56CB has a rather high level of brightness, allowing you to work with this laptop even in sunny weather.

Of course, for professional work with images and graphics of the display is unlikely to be enough, but to work with browsers and office applications, as well as for watching movies, he is perfect.

Input Devices

The Asus K56CB has a large and spacious keyboard with optional keys, without which it would be difficult to present a full-fledged multimedia laptop. The keys are located at a convenient distance from each other, easy to press, and also have a middle course and a resilient rebound. This solution not only love those who work a lot with the text, but also for those who love video games.

Touchpad for Asus K56CB is also quite large. It has no physical keys, and has a slightly matte finish, which ensures a good grip with the fingers. The touchpad has a high sensitivity, and knows all the necessary gestures to complete the work without a mouse.

The Asus K56CB is based on a low-voltage processor Intel Core i5-3317U clocked at 1.7 and feature Turbo Boost, which allows to overclock the working capacity of the chip. Also, our laptop has 6 GB of RAM, a hard disk capacity of 750 GB and a discrete graphics card nVidia GT 740M with 2GB of internal memory that allows you to run a modern video games.

Our laptop has a fairly rich set of interfaces that allows you to work with a large number of external devices. On the right side is the optical drive, two USB 2.0 ports, one 3.5 mm combined audio jack and one Kensington lock. On the left side there are two video connector – HDMI and VGA, Internet port RJ-45, USB 3.0, as well as AC-adapter jack.

Of the weaknesses of the computer can be identified only by its display, and of the strong – a good performance, a rich set of interfaces and stylish body with aluminum trim.

This laptop is perfect for home use. In this case, it can be used for business purposes as well as to surf the web, run multimedia files, and video games.

I bought this laptop few weeks ago. I think they worth it, and with the newest bios the cooler’s sound isn’t loud. The case has a good quality and the keyboard is very comfortable for long typing.

How about the system temperature during usual work and with load ? (i mean the laptop’s temp. not the processor’s temp.)

Just bought this laptop yesterday, and may i say that till now it runs perfectly. Great GFX card and specs for the price. Most i7’s are more pricier than this. Thinness is almost at an ultrabook level
