Acer Aspire E1-531 Review
The budget laptops are often not much different from each other – similar design, approximately the same materials and components. We can say that this applies to our current hero. Almost all of the Acer Aspire E1-531 notebook has dual Pentium B960, 4 GB of RAM, and so on. However, a discrete graphics card in it the last generation – NVIDIA GeForce GT710M with 2GB of video memory and support for DirectX 11, which already makes the laptop worth seeing.
Design and Ergonomics
The Acer Aspire E1-531’s appearance is simple – a modest gray-black body with smooth contours, made ??of plastic. There is quite a lot of gloss in this model – such coverage can be seen on the cover, and edging display surface, which means that a laptop in these areas will be covered quickly prints. All other details are practical rough texture.
Except for me to gloss design complaints. Housing solidly built, backlash and no squeaks, and the opening angle is very large. Restraining display unit loop tight enough so that when you open the laptop will have to hold the base.
I note that the bottom there is a hatch to nearly half of the bottom that provides access to the hard drive and RAM.
On the side of the laptop housed usual ports and connectors.
Left two mini-jack for microphone and headphone jacks, one USB 3.0, HDMI video output and VGA, Ethernet-connector, and finally, the plug for the power supply.
Front, next to the block system indicator is a gap multiformat card reader.
To the right are two USB 2.0, DVD-drive and a Kensington lock. From wireless modules on board Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n and Bluetooth 3.0, manufactured by Broadcom.
Keyboard and Touchpad
Manufacturer uses the most common keyboard with a dedicated number pad In Acer Aspire E1-531. She’s a little noisy, and the cursor pad is inconvenient. The rest of the work with it quite comfortably. Of features worth noting the set of multimedia keys on the top right hand corner.
Medium-sized touchpad took his place below the keyboard and left of the center of the working surface. Touch panel is recessed slightly and easily distinguished by touch. The scroll bar is highlighted separately on the right side of the module. A pair of buttons combined glossy plastic plate. Pressed them quite quietly and smoothly than pleasantly surprised. Usually, it is exactly the opposite.
Display and Sound
Display Acer Aspire E1-531 – glossy TN-matrix diagonal of 15.6 inches and a standard resolution of 1366×768 pixels. Margin of brightness is small, from 10 to 157 cd/m2, which, together with a glossy finish makes the street problematic. Contrast panel is 83:1. Viewing angles are also poor. However, this picture is quite typical for a budget notebook. On the other hand, a good factory calibration slightly smooths flaws.
Pair of speakers sound system is located above the keyboard and covered with decorative mesh. The sound quality and volume supply sufficient for viewing movies at home and communicate in Skype. More was demanded of her, I would not.
The Model Acer Aspire E1-531 comes with Intel Celeron B830 processor and Intel Pentium B960. The amount of memory up to 8 GB, and storage available HDD capacity from 320 GB to 1 TB. Engaged in integrated graphics processing chip Intel HD Graphics or discrete graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GT 710M.
Our test of the Acer Aspire E1-531G is based on dual-core Intel Pentium B960 processor with a clock frequency of 2.2 GHz. Performance provides 4 GB of RAM DDR3, and the hard drive holds 500 GB of data. Discrete graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GT 710M with 2GB of memory on board is engaged in processing graphics. Due to the large amount of memory the graphics become more comfortable. Not to mention the everyday tasks that such a system copes with no visible difficulty.
Autonomy provides a removable lithium-ion battery capacity of 4400 mAh (48 Wh). A single battery charge lasts for 5 hours of reading with disabled wireless modules and muted display brightness. Under load, the laptop worked for 1 hour 30 minutes.
The Acer Aspire E1-531 is a cute and inexpensive laptop for every day. Thanks to a new video card with 2 GB of memory you can use it for gaming, and graphics. Impractical because of the high-gloss finish and display the model is not particularly suited to the role of the working laptop, but as a home computer for viewing movies and simple tasks it will be just right. If you are looking for a laptop for a relatively low price, this model is certainly worth a look.
